When I try to start the game I am getting a pop up that says IOException: Not a valid PNG file. I have a NVIDIA GeForce Video card and am running windows 7. I uninstalled Java and re-installed it.

Maybe one of the games assets got corrupted in the download process?
Try the Options&REpair button on the launcher and hit Download normal ..
if that doesnt work try a fresh installation in a new folder (simply change the install path under Options->Install settings)
