But lets not deal with it till later. Lets get some basic systems down first. Like the rest of the game\'s main mechanics.
Once we are in beta, we can start worrying about fuel. But if you guys REALLY want to be realistic, in this game full of cubes and planets the size of a mid-sized castle...
Even current technology would be capable of supplying energy neccesary to move a ship the rediculously short distances in this game without running low. A few sectors of movement wouldn\'t even move the needle of most vessel\'s fuel gauges. Heck, use a fission reactor and you could go for a very long time indeed.
Lets be even more sane, and say that these engines propel matter out backwards like current engines do, rather then push against space-time or some other sci-fi mumbo jumbo that lets you not need to carry propellant with you. Even so, you would need rather little of the stuff to move a couple kilometers between shops, even WITH \"space drag.\"
Yes, that\'s right, even our clunky and laughably lame hydrogen and oxygen combustion rockets would be quite efficient in this strange Starmade universe where planets are closer to each other then most of your houses are to the grocery store. Imagining how well something like a fusion-powered ultra-high-capacity ion engine would fair is nuts.
