As you might have seen, a new update involves a new skin, This skin is DAVE.
Dave has a "lighting" layer. This lighting layer is a basic black and white value image.
From what i already know the skin has to nbe named after the player, but that then makes te lighting layer confusing, because you obviously can't have two layers named the same.
I'm not after editing the core files, just the custom skin. So my question is;
Is there a special/specific name the file has to be?
-EDIT-
Under "Modding" on the startup menu, select "custom skin" and find the files releated to each part. Save As what ever you like, Should be automatically loaded if you have the correct file format.
PNG
Example files can be found in \StarMade\data\SkinningResources
The folder includes template layouts and shading overlays.
