how to get a backup of ship?

I am currently building a sweet ship. I want to backup and download the file so i can move it over to my macbook and continue building it on the road while i have to travel. How do i go about doing so?

I have looked in the location where you put the ship files that you download here. My ships name is black. However i see no file named black in the ships location.

You hit U and make sure you are in the ship, than save it, if on a server save to local, after both of those just follow what's in this topic http://starmadedock.net/threads/how...-or-zip-also-how-to-upload-kupu-approved.791/ and you should be good to go.
