Simple answer - 10 dollar steam wallet pre-paid card.
---
now this might seem very obvious to many of you but i spent about a year now wanting to purchase starmade but not knowing how to do so because i dont have access to a credit card. iv also asked many times fellow SM players if they knew of anyway of getting around the credit card obstacle but to no avail.
Turns out the popular steam software which starmade launched on last year sells prepaid steam wallet cards that you should be able to purchase in your local gamestore with physical cash. you then scratch the card to reveal a code that you then enter into your steam account and it will credit you with the appropiate amount of cash into your steam account. you can then go and purchase starmade (or anything else on steam really) without ever having to use a credit card in the process.
hopefully this seemingly obvious but maybe not so obvious solution will help others in a similar situation as mine, finally purchase one of their favorite games. im only just discovering steam and i can see now why starmade launched on it. and sorry if this sounds like an ad for steam but as far as im aware its the only current way to purchase starmade without a credit card.
