I rarely now run starmade. I am just bored in it, I don't have nothing to do.Playing on CZ server and have everything...

I don't start building or logic shit, because I always end up with cube, and don't even have mood to continue..

So I wanted to ask: What should I do in starmade ?

Thats probably one of my biggest complaints against most starmade servers running now. They have absurd mining bonuses enabling players to accumulate millions of ores with verg little effort, and then wonder why their performance is so low. It becomes online creative and it sucks.

Watch tutorials so you can improve your builds. Give a try at making buildings in starmade perhaps (like I've been telling you to)?

You might as well quit for a while honestly, you answered your own question you don't wanna build things because you aren't good at it by your own admission, also by your own admission you have no desire to improve your building by studying tutorials or guides and i'm stretching a bit but i doubt you want to dissect other peoples work either.

Unfortunately for you building is all you can do in this game, there is nothing else right now.

I guess my suggestion is to shelf it and stop coming back for a while, keep watching the forums checking for updates were content is added that interests you but just stop playing if you keep trying to force more out of the game now when there is nothing to force out of it you will start to actually dislike playing it and that will sour your ability to enjoy it when more actual content gets added.

    Three things...

    1) This game is in the ALPHA stage... If you want to play with your "present" before "Christmas", don't complain that the dev team hasn't "wrapped" it yet. The game is still being built and should not be mistaken for a finished product.

    2) There is a generous supply of resources available to help you make this game into whatever you want it to be. Before anything else; this is a game of creation. Don't blame the game if you forget how to use your imagination. Try the tutorials, work with other players. If you like, I'll teach you how to build...

    3) If there isn't enough content in the game to keep you interested, why not name off a few things that would interest you? What would make you enjoy playing this game?

my guess is that he'd/(she'd) probably be into, missions, npc, fauna, exploration, relic hunting, pve with purpose, who knows.

they should probably just follow my advice and wait patiently on the forums i mean really we can build stuff and the games only been in dev for like what 5 years or something the rest of the stuff is coming "soon".

Well yeah, quests would be nice, but I can't see purpose of it, cuz this is game about creativity, and building

I'm willing to teach you if you're willing to TRY to learn.

    I'm dead serious.

Come to the Light vs Dark server and email/PM "Dr-Whammy". Have a cup off coffee/tea and a notepad handy and I'll show you everything I know.
[DOUBLEPOST=1461344031,1461343857][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, I have a plan involving "missions" that may raise a few people's eyebrows...

Being hard on your own builds will feed on itself. If you can only build cubes build the best damn cube. Join in on ToasterBorst's race. Don't jump in to win. Jump in to experience more of what the game could be and build on that.

We can do it that way if you like but you won't have the benefit of seeing and testing builds in real time with someone to guide you step by step. Your lessons will proceed much more slowly and you will have to wait for responses to questions.

I get the feeling that this is more of a 'comfort level' thing than an actual restriction/limitation for you.

Let me know what works best for you and we'll make a builder out of you yet. ;)

You won't ever become good at ANYTHING if you don't put effort into it. Everyone SUCKS when they start at something. EVERYONE. If you're too embarrassed/apathetic/dystopian to do that... play tetris?

that "don't logic" thing is probably your issue. I'm constantly puzzling out how to do "neat new things" with the logic. Right now my "make it fun" pet-project is making a pirate "station" that's actually a scripted fleet ambush.
The "Station" is just there so the ships spawn without clipping into each other. It launches it's fleet 16 seconds, and completely self-destructs 30 seconds after it's loaded.
Part of the "script" for the larger ship is to control when it launches it's parasites, and uses it's jump inhibitor, via timer. Flush 20% of rack in first 40 seconds, another 20% 80 seconds after that, full/final flush at the 2min 30 sec area.

Another part is damage-detection and response. After certain areas receive actual block damage the ship will turn off it's jump inhibitor system and begin charging it's own jump. Other sections activate logic swarms, or forcibly undock damaged/overheating turrets with a 100/100/100% cannon/pulse/push system.
The short is it's a sandbox. Dream of the castle you want, and build it.

No one said you have to permanently change servers but there's no reason why you can't visit, use my resources, then take everything you've learned "back home" with you. I'll say it again; I will spend my own faction resources on you to make you a better builder. All you have to do is show up and learn. You can easily save any blueprints and build mode templates to your own client for references and later use.

If you want to stick to forum PMs that's perfectly fine but the learning process will be much slower.

let me know what you decide.
