Hotfix for Damage Beam / Cannon Slave

    So after the last hot-fix my Defiant started haven power failure problems.
    Star Trek Defiant 1:1
    Before the update I could continuously fire the phosphors, and now I get power failure.
    But if I disconnect the cannon slave, it works fine but with the inevitable recharge time.

    I heard that a hot-fix was going to come out. But shouldn't that have happened already? Has the beam cannon been nerfed? do I need to rebuild my ship?

    Thats a good question. I experienced something like this myself. It seems, that the damage output per block has also increased. Maybe we can achieve a damage output like before with less blocks now? Guess i will need to compare this with a previous version.

    It happens with any beam + something else combo. Beam + Beam is the worst offender out of the bunch. In any event they are getting a fix out for it and seems they got one and just haven't sent it up yet.

    Something to note, by removing the cannon slave (unless you're adding more blocks to compensate) you are effectively halving its dps and its power consumption.

    It makes perfect sense, the slave blocks contribute to total block count and therefore damage/power consumption. By removing the slave you effectively remove half the weapon.

    Reduce the outputs per weapon computer to one, then it works. It's a knwon bug.
    It is only affecting beams and as far as i know only with a slave.

    Yes, only happens for beams + slave/support that has more than 1 group. It has been fixed in the latest dev build already so hopefully we'll see a release for that soon.
