Okay so, I downloaded the game off of steam. I try to open up StarMade and when I click start game, the launcher closes and nothing else happens. Can somebody out there help me?

is there a log file being created in the logs folder of starmade ?
please add it here alongside the Grafcisinfo.txt from the same folder
what OS (32 or 64) are you using and what grafics card is in use ?
it could be a broken installation, get the whole game zip from http://files.star-made.org/build/ (last one from the list)
and overwrite your install with the zip content
