Hey there all, while building in creative I took a break and used my transporter to transport to a ship I had been firing on to test damage and penetration etc. to see the damage. after looking around and exiting that ship I then made a ship core to fly to a nearby other ship I had been working on. However it was then when I tried to fly this new ship core something strange happened. My ship cores movement was inexplicably tied to the testing ship's movement. Im still not sure how to replicate this but I am very curious, do any of you know of this bug? It seems like it could be quite fun to mess around with but I could imagine it possibly being abused in online mode (Though I am not entirely sure how).

Using the F1+F8 admin tool, you can jump directly into a ship core. If you do this while already in a ship core, without leaving, then you'll technically be in both cores, and could fly them simultaneously (this bug/ability was recently fixed/removed).

All that to say, it appears your game never registered that you left the initial ship core, and thus could fly both simultaneously upon entering the fresh core.
(Personally, I've never had it just happen naturally though, which it appears you have. The F1+F8 version was an easily avoidable/replicable bug.)

There's really no practical advantage to this I can think of though. Just a fun gimmick.
