May this be a year of shinny new features and new players (and overall nice stuff)! Happy new year everyone!
Already did, I have none :PHappy new year to you all! Now everyone be sure to fulfill your new year resoultions! :p
wow, really funny that you say that, as i had a whole 30 mins conversation about exactly that last night before the new years count down! it really makes me wonder if maybe things like the age of the universe or our planet might be off because of relativistic effects like that. and wtf is "speed" any way. if you were in a totally empty void, youd have no idea if you were stationary or going 99.99999% the speed of light. as i understand it theres no experiment other then observing nearby "relative" objects to judge your speed. and even then you only judging it by your proximity to said object. the whole thing really blows my mind and keeps me up at night sometimes.... :Dwith all of us flying around the universe at high velocity that we do, that probably happened 30 years ago. In which case, Happy New Year 2050 folks!
I recommend reading the xkcd comic to put things in perspective and to find even more humor in this stuff.
