In the new .30 update and before when im clicking on the block if I don't have perfect line of sight to either paste, build or remove blocks it seems the builder(cntrl) clicks off to the side, or behind or in some cases nowhere near where I have clicked. Not exactly sure how to describe it, or to give details on how to reproduce it, but I know it is more than just myself.

Yah you're not alone. It's been mentioned in the Dev Discord a couple of times though I'm not sure if it's pierced the Dev's awareness yet. Remove mode is really funky at the moment and it often removes blocks adjacent to the area it's covering. Alternatively it doesn't seem to register a click at all and you can sit clicking away and nothing happens until boom, it takes away an area you didn't want removed outside of the brush area and often in a location that is not even adjacent to the brush.
Things that seem* to effect it
    • building 'through' a plain, as in looking through a plain and placing blocks on the other side.
    • distance to where you are placing blocks, the further from the placement area the more likely it is to happen.
    • clicking on the edge of a block face, the closer to the edge the more likely it'll pick the adjacent area rather then the area under the brush.
    Edit: spelling.
