Game loads to 50% then fails (MAC)

i do assume the playback of the intro video fails (there is a report for that on MAC, no clue what causes it)
open the settings.cfg with an editor/notepad and change the setting to false
PLAY_INTRO = false //Play Intro
and then on the menu options .. disable tutorials (are video playback too)

This fixed it for me. Thanks yet again SmilingDemon.
Something to note for this though, there are settings.cfg files both in the starmade folder and inside (package contents) starmade-launcher.app

Nomoturtle .. if there is one then it doenst belong there (ignore it) or you did install the game to the same folder as the launcher at some point.

I think you might be right. Had no idea. Weird. If it isn't a problem I think I'll just leave it (It works now, don't want to mess it up), but that's good to know for future reference. Thanks for the help.
