My Idea: warp fuel (no thruster fuel)

    1) only for jump drives (so people can still use a ship dry on fuel)
    2) rare enough to be a pain in the lower back to remember not to forget it, not rare enough for quitting the game.
    3) can be found with scanners
    4) can be refined on a ship or station for higher fuel efficiency and lowered jump time (still required to jump)
    5) Is called spicemelange

this idea could be implemented after power update

    tell me what you think.

    SPICEMELANGE

    Props for he awesome name!
I wouldn't be against resources that you can collect to Super-Charge your warp drive.
Certaintly would be handy for crossing vast distances, but at a cost.

As long as it isn't damage, shield or other combat buffs I'm fine with it (also as long as it is an option boost, not required for them to function).

    The spice must flow.

What you've wrote is too vauge of an idea IMO, but if it would be entirely optional, aka warp drives work without it, then it has a chance of working.

    Please don't call it SPICEMELANGE

I love Dune and all but that it just such a terrible name for a warp fuel, oh and Schine calling it that could potentialy attrack copyright lawsuits.

    Call it JumpJuice.

I'd like if fuel can be grown on stations with alien plants.

Why not call it Helium 3, ist even an actuall Thing, as far as i know.
And when we are at it, why not implement gas giants to harvest them, spawning like planets, not as much of course.
The ammount of H3 would vary from gas giant to gas giant.
To harvest them, we Need a new Block, maybe Gas harvester, no matter how many blocks you connect, the drainrate will be the same, but the ammount of storage increases, this way we could have specialized Gas haulers, or something.

All of this can be combined with what OP said.

First off some things to clear away confusion:
It is a fuel source but only for jump drives so if you don’t have any fuel you can’t use a jump drive but you can still use the standard thrusters to find more fuel

New Are there real reasons, or is it just a Schema Thing?
If you have gold and titan to build a shield generator but in the real world it would have been build with iron and copper then you teach the wrong thing.

Having different names from real ones is a protection against issues with this reality vs game reality.

OK, i kinda get that, but as far as i know, by example would be at least somewhat appropriate.
