For a fistful of bugs

    A few bugs are 100% reproductible with a ship I built, all of them in offline mode. It's about 700 m long and with a somewhat complex power modules patterns of 67 millions eu regeneration if it is of importance. .

    1) Diplay bug in flight mode since the last update. In build mode the ship displays correctly, but in flight mode, some 10*10 parts are flickering.

    2)Ghost laser on a turret. On a turret fitted with 3 groups of guns, the right one produce a ray coming from under the turret and damages the ship. Tried with differents associations/activations of the right group of antimatter cannons: the ray is always present. The left group is symetric and works fine, so does the middle one.

    Same thing with missiles.

    3)Previously, when I was aproching a large structure like a station with this ship, the game was slowing down to 1 FPS even if I was far from it and going back to normal when going away. Since last update, it freezes to death and I have to kill the program.

    4)Still having a lot of ghost ship issues with this construction. When I am in this ship and buy another one at a station, the new one is generally in "ghost mode". I can't hit it with laser, can pass through it, even if I can enter the core. The ship becomes "solid" when I turn around it.

    5)Sometimes, one of the turrets has just disapeared when I start the game.

    I'm planning to continue the work on this ship, it seems that when finished, I won't need any weapon anymore : it will just make any opponent's computer crash on sight :p

    More seriously, I jut had some serious eye wounds, so long screen reading is painful and I couldn't check if those bugs are already documented. But if they aren't and this ship can be helpful for bug hunting, I can upload the ship and the turret.

    Sure, I send you a PM with the hosted files.

    There are two possible positions for the turret, I know that the ghost ray occurs when it is on the rear position, but I can\'t remember what happens in forward position. As for the ghost missile launcher, it\'s the right one which doesn\'t come from the good position.

    BTW, if you wonder what MOAB means, it stands for mother of all bugs, given that I never encounter any bug except with this construction :p

    Some news about those bugs:

    -The flickering issue is solved with 0.0928. I guess it was segments loading.

    -Missiles/canon spamming from wrong position: after some toying, it appear that whatever weapon I place, if I place it on the right of the core (x+something) the ray/missile will spam from the core.

    -After some testing I found out the trigger of my ghosts problems: it happens ech time a ship is partly in one sector and partly in an another one (so, maybe it\'s already well known).

    Let\'s say that the rear part of the ship with my core is in 18,-8,0 and the front part in the 17,-8,0. If I\'m moving inside the ship, each time I enter the the 17,-8,0 sector, the ship becomes non-solid, and so does the turret which is in the 17,-8,0 part. When I come back to the 18,-8,0 sector with the core, the ship becomes immediatly solid. I toyed a bit with the /daytime command but without any result.

    It seems to be the same problem when spawning a large ship at a station. As for me, all the stations spawn really near the borders and when I spawn a large ship, it generally spawn with one part in a sector an one part in another one. I have to move to the sector which contains the core to be able tou hit it.

    - A tiny bug : I changed the exit ship key to G (being tired of watching my ship going away without me when pressing R instead of E). Now, when I approach the core it displays \"Enter ship core [G], even if I still have to press R for entering.

    -As for this one, I don\'t know wether it\'s a bug or a not totally implemented feature. I installed some heat seakers missiles on the same ship and the missiles often don\'t care about pirates, but instead come back to daddy and turn around the turret core through the turret and ship hull without damage. They just vanish without any damage after a while. I thought I was related to the thrust modules of the turret but even after removing them, I still have the problem.



    -Shadows: I don\'t know if it\'s a bug or a feature and is probably well known but just in case: when creating a corner, if the cross section is empty, block and under it block, empty, I don\'t have any shadow. If it\'s empty, block and under block, block, I have a shadow.
