    Actually No weapon but It deserves getting added.It simply got an power value which gets substracted with the enemies engine power.Similar to an energy drain beam

    The energy consumption is pretty high though and if the player trys to accelerate it will increase furthermore

    Why is no one actually posting? I already got copied (rather bad) So can´t you post a little bit of support?

    I am also featuring the shape Idea which gets a lot support.

    And Honestly adding New Weapons won´t be a great deal since all of their basics are already added.

    Personal Defense thread suggest weapons for PERSONAL defense(and they want some pretty crazy things).I suggest ship Weapons which is something completely different.

    They mentioned tractor beams and Emps as ship weapons to make boarding possible

    I kinda forgot those.But emps are too overpowered so only tractor beams get added

    Why would lasers ignore armor ? They should be be very effective against shields and very weak at armor/hull damage.


    I am against of any kind of shield penetration, the shield must always block everything, but you should have weapons that can get it down more quickly than others... like lasers.

    Actually Lasers don´t \"Ignore\" Armor they are just melting it instead and get stopped by heat absorbing materials (or mirrors)\\\\

    Also you should be able to charge Lasers by simply Firing them in mirrors placed so that they get reflected infinitively.With the current system you would be able to create infinite strong Laser saws Which would be nothing but a Fun Feature since you would need to get a smaller enemy ship between them to use them.

    It would be nothing but a placeholder for some better (way more complex) system (which replaces the original beams with something which makes separations possible



    To the Railgun thingie:

    Yeah I think you are right but the penetration Would do only very very low damage which probably would be lowered even more. It could only be used effectively by stealt ships which got enough time to fire at the weakspot of the ship and which posses the power to run those weapons.

    IMO the RailGun should be more like a \"hull penetrator\" (allows you to hit hidden modules) and not a \"Shield penetrator\".

    I kinda don´t want to let go the idea of a Shield Penetrating Weapon Since Dreadnoughts have to get stopped someway (I know what I am Talking of I own a 200^3 Borg Cube (Resistance Is Futile)

    But okay if another one tells me to change this I will do.

    Suggestions of other weapons (especially if already used in Sci-Fi) would be greatly appreciated though.

    You have issues killing borg ships within seconds? What are you shooting them with?



    I personally don\'t like most of the ideas as it adds on needless additional layers of stacked defenses to slap on to every ship.

    The point is that you got to decide between an superheavy armored against anything dreadnought or an unprotected stealth assasin. Also it got consequences since cannons will deal an much higher amount of damage if they don´t get stopped.

    Seems like a Cool Idea.

    Ways to kill a enemy faster if your can realize what defenses it has more of. Adds more depth to the combat system.

    Scratch that, just make a Tractor Beam that locks a ship in place untill you 1. let go of key 2. run out of power ship is then disabled but you cant do damage to it. Long charge.

    The MAC is a giant railgun with a large charge time but it does a lot of damage to everything. I will give stats later.
