UPDATE: I will be away for about a week or so... So don't expect any progress in that time. I'm an assistant scoutmaster for my local BoyScout troop, and we're leaving for summercamp sat. morning. See you all when I get back. :)

Hey there fellow citizens of StarMade,

I'm relatively new (as in one of the players brought in by the YogsCast video), and was immediatly impressed by the sheer potential of this game. Since Minecraft first came out, I've been messing around, building snubfighters (otherwise known as star fighters, the small agile craft) from the Star Wars universe, but I've never been able to actually fly any of my creations, because Minecraft is Minecraft, not StarMade. ;)

Below are the ships I've made so far, along with pictures and specs

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    TIE Fighter

    Specifications

Engine: Twin Ion Engines/55.0 Thrust (not sure what the thrust units are... Like I said, new. :P)

Shields: N/A, TIE Starfighters were nortious for their lack of shielding.

Mass: (Not sure about the Lore mass)/45.8

Weaponry: Twin L-s1 Laser Cannons/Twin Antimatter cannon, damage 35.8, Distance 330, reload 387.3, Speed 20.7

Dimensions: The Star Wars Wiki claims a TIE Fighter is only 6.4 meters wide, however that's not quite possible given the games blockiness. I assumed the dimensions of a block are the same as Minecraft, and was able to get a length of 14m, Height 14m, Width 16m. I tried to be sure that the height would be small enough to dock inside a Star Destroyer Hanger (I measured the opening on a Star Destroyer the TIE would need to fit through to be aprox. 16m tall. While I'd prefer the TIE be taller, I don't want to push it too far. I may change the height later when I build the Star Destroyer, and see what a taller opening looks like.)

    Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruiser

    Specs:

    Dimensions: 600m long, 117m wide, 123m tall

Engine: 6 Ion engines with a class 2.0 Hyperdrive (ingame NA)

Shielding 2560SBD (Standard shield rating for the Star Wars Universe, ingame NA)

Armament: 20 Light quad turbolaser cannons, 15 turbolaser batteries, 15 turbolaser cannons, concussion missle launchers (amt/size undetermined)

Starfighter complement: Full squadron (12_ of TIE starfighters.

Other ships I plan on re-creating in StarMade are:

X-Wing (That'll be a doozy... So much detail lol...)

    TIE-Advanced X2 (This one has shields! :D)

    Victory-II Star Destroyer

    Millenium Falcon (of course)

Mon Calamari Cruiser (plan to... Actually do... not sure lol)

Thought I\'d write a quick little update here, showing my progress on the next ship I\'m planning to build, as this one is a big bigger of a project them some little TIE Fighter. It\'ll be big enough to hold a squadron or two of TIE\'s at any one time. :)

The ship I\'m currently building is a 1:1 scale version of a Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser, as shown here:http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dreadnaught-class_heavy_cruiser

It\'s 600m (im considering 1m=1block, as I\'m pretty sure that is the correct scale) long, and just over a hundred tall/wide. I wanted to go with something a little larger, but this is already pretty big and I\'m afraid of being in two different sectors at one time, as I do not want some random sector deciding to take half my ship for a ride. Not sure if that\'s possible but I was reading somewhere that it could be a conern, so I opted to go smaller for my first big project. :)

This wasn\'t happening this morning before I went to bed! :( I\'ll check the links out and try to get the pics working. My apologies lol.

EDIT: Welp, the 404 error with the pictures was my own stupidity. I barely slept last night, falling asleep around 6am in the morning, waking up at about 10am. Before i fell alseep, I guess I decided to re-organize my dropbox files? Doing so broke all my links lol. The links posted should now work. Not sure how much I\'ll be working on my dreadnaught today given my condition, but we\'ll see. :)

Thanks for the moral boost guys, :P

I\'d like to make these on my own for now, but I\'ll keep the idea of getting help in mind. I want to make some larger ships, such as a possible Mon Cal cruiser, which is huge, and extremly curvey *shudders*.

Also, I have some update news on the dreadnaught. After about 2 days of work, I finally managed to get the curves for the top half of the bow completed. It was. A. Giant. Pain. In. My. Butt. I guessed it was something like 5 differernt curved lines all meshed together to get the hull right, and thank the good lord for the symmetry tool lol.

    Update pictures below. :)

EDIT: So um... Me and a friend were messing around because we were bored, and I didn\'t realize how wonky the heat seeking missles detection was........

Let\'s just say development of the dreadnaught has been delayed. :P

Good luck with the Mon Cal. As much as I love the idea, curves and voxels is bad. It was hard enough making the sphere on my Tie.

Anyways working on my own big SW ship with friends too. oh the pains...

Yeah, the more I think about it, and having done the comparitively minor curves on the dreadnaught, that aint happening. :P lol. The TIE wasn\'t to bad for me, but I mad emine to scale so... :p

Probably will just stick to not-so-well-known support ships from the expanded universe and games like empire at war. ;P

I made (in progress) victory class inspired star destroyer. It does not look like it because I messed up its thickness. But anyways make sure that you have computer enough to run those huge ships. My V (name of the ship) is 910m long, 500m width and 100m high. And if I look straight to it my FPS goes 0. And never ever ever ever collide with planet. Never. That is what causes servers to crash...
