Docking needs a REVAMP!

    I know its been said before, Docking needs a revamp. but obviously it didn't sink in. there have been several threads on the subject and its only getting worse lately.

    here are some
    I found just by typing in this threads title.
    Docking Orientation Module
    C-Command to enable/disable docking size requirement
    Small Craft docking classification & Jump Boosters
    Docking Modifications
    most of these are as recent as TODAY!

    Sorry but yet again the problem is just getting ignored. And its gone way beyond beating a dead horse here. this isn't something that belongs in the suggestions section. Its already in the damn game!!!!!!! Fix it. adding to it only makes it more obvious its broken.

    i just went into the config and disabled the docking module checking size. now i can dock anything i want as long as it physically fits there.

    go into the server.cfg and change IGNORE_DOCKING_AREA to "true".

    And I must disagree with your last statement, as this IS a suggestion. It's a suggestion to make docking better. Besides "FIX THIS NOW" is not really motivational, as I know from personal experience. And on top of that, it's not like docking issues are the first problem that shoots to mind when you look at the game as a whole. There are UNCOUNTABLE bugs and dysfunctional features for the one reason this is an ALPHA.

    1. Is the only one from today or yesterday - has long been discussed or in the works but not a game breaking or changing priority.
    2. Already exists server config
    3. Just people going into the minutiae of creating a docking classification system and maybe create a jump-drive sabot
    4. Logic 'ed systems activated by docks good for astro-tech beam, power supply, shield supply.
    An activation block touching/adjacent a dock will turn on when a dock is in use and off when not. The main problem/issue is whether or not a host ship's weapons ignore a docked entity. Trigger area and a free floating ship is a doable, but weaker substitution
