Crashing in Build Mode

I'm playing on the NDS build server, and everything has been running smoothly for weeks, but now if I try to place blocks in build mode I can only place a few dozen blocks before my computer crashes and turns off.

This is the same problem I've been having since the trade system update in single player and why I've given up on single player survival. I'd thought I'd solved this by playing on a server, but alas no. Any suggestions?

One crash occurred after hitting the movement keys, and the other occurred while hitting Ctrl for advanced build mode to hit the Undo button. It does seem to occur in build mode and right after I hit a key.

please search for the logs folder inside your starmade install
there should be a file named "logstarmade.0.log" in there after one of those events happening (end the game then)
drag and drop that file into an answer here (you might have to zip it first)

I have a logstarmade.0 file, but it does not have a .log on it. There is no careful manual shutdown of SM. My computer says NOPE! and abruptly turns off :p . This is the file from my last crash at 4 am this morning.
[doublepost=1472232713,1472232331][/doublepost]I also have 3 other small logstarmade files from earlier crashes that night. You probably won't need them, but here they are just in case.

oha ... ok. that sounds more like a Hardware problem then.

does it imediatly restarts after that ?
or a driver causes a bluescreen and the system starts agin without showing that.
(in that case check the newest Nvidia drivers for your card)

I've wondered if it was a hardware or software problem.

It's pretty much lights out for my computer when it happens, like someone hit the master switch on the back of the power supply and turned it back on.

With single player I could start a different world that would play fine for 3-4 weeks and then SM would start crashing every few minutes until I started another world.

I'm planning on taking my computer from 8 gb of ram to 16 or 32 next month to see if I can make SM happier, but do you think this is a video card issue? I'm running a 2GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 760.

I just updated the drivers and I'll see what happens. *fingers crossed*

switching off the power is normaly a hardware problem (over tempriture some where, dying power supply, damaged memory) and a hard crash by a driver is usually a bluescreen. however .. a setting in windows (dont really know where) makes windows boot on a bluescreen (looks like toggling the power)
