ehhh.. The old texture pack wasn't thaaaat different from the new/current one.

Personally, I like(d) the old hull textures better so I actually updated the old (Realistic) pack a few times myself so I could keep using it (that's the version that some of these screenshots had).

Well we are trying to advertise the game to new players, particularly the ones that check it out during the steam sale.

We cannot advertise the game in an old state. It needs to be at least, post rails and with current graphics packs.

It shouldn't be modded or modded elements should not appear in the shot.

Images cannot be altered.

I should also note, we can't make use of your image if the subject of the image is tiny. StarMade is set in space, but we need to show of your builds, not the background.

this is thread is going to be very bandwidth-rapey, I reckon.

Unfortunately I suffered a hard drive implosion just the other day - while nothing of import was lost pertaining to work or connection-destroying game downloads I did lose all my screenshots, which wouldn't have bothered me too much until I saw this thread.

I've got a few skating around online, and will take one or two of what few projects are available.

I give Schine permission to use these in ANY way they see fit, to be modified, discarded or posted at leisure.

You'll have no shortage of things to use I think! enjoy!

I'd just like to add, we're going to get a lot of ship images. We're not just going to showcase ships, we want to see other builds and areas of the game. We'll probably have a few plain shots as well (no build shots). We need variety!

some ideas:

Scenes of asteroid mining (with traditional mining arrays and maybe someone with a gate-esque passthrough miner that you just feed 'roids through

Battle scenes

Damaged ships

Warp gates

Racing - surely we have some race tracks floating around, you can artfully arrange some race ships and take the picture without them actually moving.

Maybe a shipyard in use?

I myself obviously have a profusion of ship glamour shots, I can count on one hand the battles I've fought in Starmade, almost one per year, if that.

All these pics are awesome!my only question is ever since I had to download the beta launcher all my screen shots disappear into the vacuum of space (maybe it's the cosmos telling me my builds suck!)

If you use steam they may still be in your steamapps folder.
