Clan RATO [Disbanded]

Fighters reffited due to the HP update. Using light armor gave them a different look.

It also uses our modifyed USD-1 architecture docks, using the Principle of Docking, idealized by LupoCani
Again, we invite more factions to adopt this system for increased methods of interaction.


For now, I have began my work on the third refitting edition of the Kodiak. My challenge is to keep it behaving as the good old unbeatable ship from the Illusive days, but now with more interiors so the RP'in people will love it too and stop calling me a battlebrick builder.
Oh, also, the fact that this ship orignially has over 160 turrets, and making them all work with the rail systems.

Panik is working hard on the Scorpionix, and the shape is nice for a picture :

(please don't mind the tube on the right, working on the retracting tunnels). FrozenSteel is preparing a new flagship.

Freedom Station's central dome is operational on GenXnova. Yet, we won't use the same expansion pieces from EE, but brand new arms, turrets and docks.

Progress report :
Aside from the station's tweaks, a Crusader has been prepared and spawned on the server.

Also, new defenses are being worked on. Still a WIP.

May I suggest changing the central dome to a truncated cuboctahedron? or at least the top part. Its what I use for my semi spherical shapes and I like how it looks.

Since GenXNova is at a point of being almost unplayable due to the lag, I've decided to do some work on Starside and spawned a temporary refinery, a first step to import Freedom Station to the server. Will take some pics later.

What do you expect from Clan RATO : I just want a place I can learn to build better ships and share my creations for a good purpose. I play mostly offline then go onto servers and try to use my blueprints in them. I like to chat and just create fun or useful things.

Also, serious question, what is your server you are playing on? Is genX getting the same ping issue as the new SS after the update?
And is your faction logo the one spinning in your signature?

For now, SS. GenX was having enourmous ping issues even before the update.... Maybe I'll get back there if they get more stable then SS. I don't really like the newtonian stuff and the lack of ship limits. Also, the " more grinding SS has " factor...

Yes. You can see it painted on the ships in the pictures.

Since we are stepping on non-size limit servers again, it's time to pick some bigger toys. Doing a complete refit on the Kodiak, both systems, and looks too. Far from complete, but it's already gaining differences from the older version.
