    what about making the hanger doors on the outside of the "needle hole"

    But on a second thought: you could use some smart placed area triggers for times thiefs try it without weapons too - as they can trigger multiple time without repairs and after he died.

    If your last line of logic has fallen, I would trigger the self destruction, but you may implement a counter and red flashing warning lines to not trigger it yourself accidentally :)

    Well, if someone managed to find my ship. Defaction it and disarm the security system then I think they would deserve to keep it. But the chances of that ever happening are almost null.

    Especially since you can't just get in from the hangar anymore. BUT, it won't be that bad with the gravity tubes in place.

    See the diamond thing on every ship?
    That's where to core is,(for now).
    And you could use build mode to see through ships and see where to enter from, but i have seen a ship that has a nice little trick to prevent that/make it much more harder.

    u still have trouble finding the core even with the diamond with ships that size

    -Use build mode to locate core

    Maybe fill all empty space with walk-through plants or similar.
    I guess that stops seeing the next empty block from inside a wall.

    I've watched the progress of this ship over time, if for no other reason, Keptic, i want to congratulate you on sticking with this behemoth over the long run, few players have shown the dedication to a single ship over time that you have here. Aside from that, I LOVE the progress it has made, keep up the awesome work, i look forward to one day exploring the halls of this great ship!

    Now that I've gotten a good chunk of work done on the Mesoris,


    Only thing left to do is a proper core room and exterior detail, which I'll do when I get bored of the Charon, until I get bored of the Mesoris and start working on the Charon again.

    I have started working on the Charon, again!!! I just spent a good 2 hours wedging, tetra-izing and penta-ting the wings. Expect some more meaty update in the near future, like a new heavy back turret ;)

    what security do you have and how do you implement it and if you do have a self destruct system don't use disintegrators otherwise they might get set off by cannon fire

    AFAIK Dis-Integrators don't chain or damage your ship if they are killed.

    Collision activates them dealing damage on the activator (enemy ship).
    Logic blocks activate them dealing damage on the activator (your ship).

    This even leads to multi-explosions of the same Dis-I block on collisions, because they don't kill themselves (hope this is a bug)

    Dunno about firing a docking beam onto them (works fine on activation blocks, but don't work on step-ons).

    UPDATE #11 : Light side turrets

    I made some light turrets to cover up the blind spots created by the wing panels. They are really insignificant when compared to the other turrets, but if a ship manages to hide from the bigger point defense turrets by hugging the wings than this thing should be able to damage them. And now, some pics:





    Stats:

    -lenght: 14 height: 7 width: 59
    -394 mass
    -27k shields
    -52k burst damage, reload every 15 seconds.
    -100% power stable.
    -lock-on missiles, 1km range.

    I also updated the images on the main post, if you want to see what they look like from further away.

    I love the progress so far hats down
    exept the fighters , they look kinda patched up :(

    PS Its just me but i think Tesla coils would look kickass on that ship

    How have I not checked out this post before? This looks absolutely amazing, and I can't believe you had the determination to get this far. Its an awesome ship and I've never seen anything like it. This inspires me to finish my ship. Great job and I'll be looking forward to seeing more.
