I would very much like to join CBS.

-Reeon
Examples of my work:
I tend to fade in and out of the community whenever I lose interest and the will to build.
But many long-time players may recognize me as someone with a unique build style. I am "The steampunk guy".
The spoiler bellow contains pictures of the majority of my builds. Enjoy.
WALL OF PICTURES AHEAD!
Why I want to join?:
-I have long been a member of the SM community, playing and building ships like everyone else. However I never could find a good sub-community and server that could make me feel at home. This caused me to fade in and out of the SM community as I never found a permanent place to anchor my experience around.
I am hoping CBS could be the server I have been looking for; Where my creativity can flourish. The place where I can finally say I am home and feel like it. Maybe even finish some old projects of mine.
Favorite?
All cake is equal in my eyes. Nomnomnom.

WALL OF PICTURES AHEAD!
My origin: I joined blind like most players, little knowledge of how to play if any but the curiosity and intent to learn.
This was my first serious attempt at building a ship after making myself familiar with SM and its core mechanics.
It was hastily modeled by memory after the humans starships in StarGate.
This was way back when SM still had the shoddy bolted-plates hull textures and floating slab-planets.
Heh. Nostalgia.
From there I immediately worked my way up to gargantuan sizes.
Meet Blackstar. A hulking behemoth I came up with after looking at some of the size classification charts people had come up with on the forums at the time.
The not-quite-so-little ship to the right was Blackstar's little brother which I began work on and continued when I ran into Builders Block or just needed time to figure out a piece of design I wanted to make.
Modeled after a large ship from a game named Galaxy On Fire 2, it was just something to distract myself with and experiment with color palettes and techniques I had not used yet.
Sadly, all the ships you have seen so far were rendered obsolete and crippled by a docking system update that came before Blackstar was completed.
The beginning of a legend:
After playing around on a server I had joined, I one day simply had an idea, a hint of curiosity as to whether or not it was possible.
I got a core, some resources and started building something that was simply a vague inspiration in the outskirts of my mind.
Little did I know then that this was the one. The ship that showed me my true style and calling in SM. The point of origin for my reputation as the "Steampunk Builder".
It was, once again, never to be finished. The only reason I can recall was the server shutting down for good. I don't remember anything else, not even a name or a reason.
Steampunk style would take me through many designs after that; new techniques and inspirations flourished.
One of them was a very large and very tall ship that could easily pass for an Art Deco train.
Eventually I took a break from Steampunk to change things up and challenge myself, make me grow as a builder and gain new experience.
This made me build a very unique ship inspired by the Bio-Mechanical ships of the TV series Farscape.
The organic shape of the hull and the aesthetic design choices I had made turned out to work against me and I lost interest after a time of setbacks and hardships, I still have the blueprint if I ever decide to take it up again.
Then the updates came again and left us the new circuitry blocks. I were on them the moment I learned of them and began experimenting.
The results were a neat look of neon and heavy armor.
I still have the blueprint of this as well.
Eventually I returned to Steampunk for another attempt at something special.
This was the last Steampunk project of mine. I have not made anything steampunk since.
And the last ship I ever made to completion was a small mining barge for use on the last server I dedicated myself to.
Say hello to Lilith. She is outfitted with a Salvage-shotgun (Salvage-Missile) and were intended as a "Players first mining ship".
Handles well, shielded, adequate jump drive and crew quarters. She functions in both RP and normal play.
The picture is outdated, a V.2 was made with improvements to both exterior armor plating, systems and the internal configuration
