I downloaded the sment files for all the contest winners, but when I load up the blueprint tool from the main menu the import button doesn't seem to work once I browse over to my download file. Is there a limit to the number of blueprints I can have saved?

    Thanks in advance.

you did select import -> browse to the .sment file to select it -> after that window closed it isnt showing up in the Blueprint List ? (sort it by name to find the BP )

Exactly, I just tested it again and had the same result, after browsing to the Starmade Contest Winners folder I have in my windows Download folder, I select the file, hit import and nada. It doesn't end up in the blueprint list in the utility tool.

... is that the file linked by criss in the Fleet Contest result thread ? .. i assume so !
that file content looks like this
    Screenshot_3.jpg

you cant import them into the game through the manager like that !

Extract the Zip file and copy paste its content to your Blueprints folder in the Starmade install Path
be aware that those ship files (if not docked as a station ) can show up as NPC spawns probably.

I can see how you might assume that from my previous post, but the Winner Folders I referenced is one I added myself to my download folder.

I grabbed all the sment files individually from the Community Content accounts of the various people who submitted a design that looked interesting and the winners from the list that Crisis posted. I missed that he posted a zip file, which will give me a work around for the import tool.

I knew that rar and zip files have to be manually installed. I could post some screen captures of what I'm doing if that would be helpful?

Sorry this took so long, it's been a crazy week. The dock won't let me upload the txt file directly to the post, too large. Do you have an email I could send it to as an attachment? Or a file hosting site you'd prefer I use?

Ok .. taking a look at your install here .. maybe move it to a better place than Appdata first

    it is full of:
[TAG] WARNING STRUCT DESERIALIZATION took too long:

not really an idea what that means. See if it happens if you move the installation some where else.
your install is currently at : C:\Users\Tamren Shade\AppData\Roaming\StarMade\
maybe create a new folder at C:\Starmade
point the launcher at that folder here Screenshot_12.jpg
then move the whole content from the old folder there and restart the launcher after that... you should be able to start from there than again.

    ---
    For the original Problem

    from the Logfile:

Before you did try to import
    [2016-07-22 11:41:36] [SERVER] ###### READING ALL 418 BLUEPRINTS FINISHED! TOOK 8049ms

and After you did import a thing
    [2016-07-22 11:42:19] [SERVER] ###### READING ALL 419 BLUEPRINTS FINISHED! TOOK 1671ms

so i think a +1 increase in number of BPs is suggesting that it did work.

but the imported BP has not the same file name as the thing it does content ! So you may not find it therefore ??
    sment name : AceofShovels_Fleet_1.sment
name of imported folder : Higgs-Cavel_Light_Ships

Ah, if the file name and the imported name aren't synched up, that would explain why I'm having trouble finding bps after importing them. I've been manually naming most of the files I've been downloading off the dock as I'm having the same trouble as a lot of people with dock files getting a default name comprised of hexadecimal randomness.
