Block Update Issues

    Anyone else having problems with block updates since last patch? Asteroids dont update when being mined and I am having frequent issues with controls and module buttons not updating. eg: Deactivate Factory - display doesn't show a change; press an activation module, the module state doesn't appear to change, although it will have actually worked server side.

    The update isn't occurring on my end, but it is on the server end. A quick relog shows everything to be as expected. It's making mining an even more painful task than it already is o_O

    Try to clear client cache and see if that makes a difference
    otherwise if the server handles it properly and it only happening on your end and no one else seeing the problems on the server, it would help to know your systems specifications and the launcher settings.

    Yeah, my door buttons and logic aren't responding well at all, I've been trapped in an elevator more than once now (had to relog to get the system to recognize that the door logic had tripped to open it). Which is odd because most of the time the logic that drove the elevator worked just fine, only the door logic failed.

    And I have repeatedly seen that you have to be RIGHT on top of something before it will load in. As in, you can be hovering 500m away from a station and it just will NOT show up until you get in a 3 block pod and go skim across it. No signs of sector load, no amount of sitting there makes it load, you have to get right on top of it to see it, and then its fine.

    Tried clearing cache - no joy. I don't think it has anything to do with my setup/launcher - it was fine last night/this morning until I ran the patch. Problems occurred str8 away. At first I thought maybe it was just lag but it has been a whole day now and no change. I have also done a complete re-install of the game, also no joy.

    Specs:
    i7 2600k running at 3.7GHz
    16GB Ram
    Win 7
    GTX1060 3GB

    Launcher:
    MaxMem 6144
    Initial 2048
    Early Gen 1024

    Yeah .. i would think that it is the server not keeping up with the tasks
    (it puts updated in que to prevent it from lagging)
    so nextime you relog you get the updated sector information and it shows properly.
    the logics not working can be the same issue, or the task handling that has crashed if it isnt working at all.

    is it the same shortly after a server restart, or is it working for a while and getting worse over time ?
    not an expert on it at the moment ... only my best guesses here ^^

    No it's uniform. Server start/uptime has no influence. Is this a new mechanic server side? I have not had this issue before.

    edit: Server CPU rest at 5% and average max is around 20%. Mem is resting at 21.4%.

    I'll have a look at disk i/o, but Im still convinced something has changed after that patch.

    In addtion to this, trying to copy-paste sets of logic is being very unreliable for me. About half the time the logic links are not properly active when pasted. If I then delete the entire group of blocks i just pasted and "undo" the delete the links will sometimes reappear.

    Remove still acts strange for me in paste mode too: paste mode active with a 3*6*6 section, using right-click/remove only removes a 2*5*6 section.

    This/these just me?

    Also the new fancy doors I'm trying to add with these logic updates seem to be having issues deciding if they are allowed to "close" O side will slide along the rail, a couple seconds later the other will decide to slide along...the confusion is mounting...
