(blackscreen) Starmade worked before 0.189996...

Hi guys, my friend's starmade isn't working anymore, and he's pretty bummed about it. All he does it play Hearthstone now.

Me: what is the problem exactly?
Darth411: The server is a black screen
Me: like, no spawn menu, no gui, or graphics broken?
Darth411: Black. Nothing.
Me: so, you get just a black screen, with nothing on it? Is there a % loading up at the top before it goes black, or is there nothing, no logo?
Darth411: I just said, theres nothing. just a black screen.
Me: so, you don't even get a loading screen? good to know
Me: I will figure out your problem now that you gave me specifics

Me: no crash, just blackscreen right?
Me: or does it crash after blackscreen?
Darth411: just a black screen. All I said is all there is.
Me: just making sure
Me: are you able to load into a single player game, or is that just a blackscreen too?

So, he says he has a straight up black screen, he was fine before the optimization update (it nearly doubled my FPS :D) but now nothing. I know he has 64 bit java and enough memory set because we set that all up for him like just two weeks ago.
I tried googleing, and I searched through the most recent 3 pages on the bug support forum, but nothing. He uses some laptop, with windows 7, intel processor, and AMD 7660G

reinstall starmade? then other people come try to help since thats my only idea to fix this.

Hello could you please make him
add his settings.cfg from the starmade folder and the graphcisinfo.txt, log.txt.x (with timestamp from last failed start) from Starmade/logs here with the upload file button. just rename the file ending to .txt.
What CPU exactly is he using (under the windows system overview it should be listed)
