    Hello all,

Okay i didn't find anything like this in this forum but if they are some threads that point to that feature you can send them to me.

So here is it, my suggestion is about the logic system:

    1. When i build e.g. a salvagelasercomputer and connect salvagebeams to it, and i connect an activation modul the computer i can manually fire the salvagebeam by activating the activation modul.

    2. This is a very simple example and it is much easier to use the salvagebeambinding to trigger it. But imagine you build a complex logic maybe you have a nice hangar with docking effects (lights, door, etc..), your friend enters sector and wants to dock. Now YOU want to trigger the docking sequenz not your friend, who has to push a button. YOU want to control it. At the moment you have to leave your ship walk to the activation modul and trigger it.
My idea is to connect activation modules to the core, like other computers, so you can trigger the logic by pressing a key. This will provide large possibilities to build new Animations effects for ships.

You can open a hangar over this keybinds, you can make firing loops like "shoot, shoot, break", you would be able to controll all this logic from your cockpit.

I don't know if it is very complex to implement such a feature and i am sorry for my english i hope you understand and i hope some of you give me feedback what you think about it.

    Greetings

it can cause problems and people will find a way to exploited it. what I will do is connects lots of weapons to a activation modules and activate all my weapons at once

Hm okay that is a problem but maybe someone know how to prevent such an exploit.

previously I had problems, using crtl both for activation and advanced build mode.
but with ABM at crtl, switch-to-build-mode on tab and activation on space, it is easy to press "tab, space, tab" to fire all your weapons.

    The exploit already exists.
The artificial limitation makes the game artificial boring.

If you meant activating logic blocks from ship core, then it's already planned (sorry didn't really understand the first part of the post)
starhaiden you can't really exploit this because ships have limited energy.

@Marius yeah i meant that, in first part fo the post i said that it is possbile manually when leave space ship and trigger the logic manually.
Yeah i think that too, you can also switch between your weapons system very fast to trigger them nearly synchron.

you could use a power drain beam to so you can continuously fire your weapons. If it is planed then I'm going to build ships to exploit it

    You already can.
What can you already do? Connect ShipCore to Logic is not working at the moment.

starhaiden like others said before it is not really a advantage or an exploit if you will use it this way. The weapons will still need energie, they will need computers. The only change would be that you can trigger them all. Someone with fast fingers can trigger it by switching the weaponbindings in combat fast. So this point is not an argument for the many possibilities which this feature would give.

Using a powerdrain beam to continuously fire your weapons. You just need another player to activate it, or you could leave the powerdrain beam on forever.

For me the discussion focuses too much on the wapon thing. Starmade isn't just about weapon power or something. If you want you can build a cubic something which can fire all down.

Starmade is about building and role playing, and i want to have the opportunity to make cool systems on my ship like working extendable weapons, self controlled hangars and so on.

I get the sense that a lot of people might not appreciate whatever restrictions you're talking about, but nonetheless, that is indeed nice to hear, and I can't wait to see what people will make with it.
