Auto jump charge does not use energy?

I created a task on the phabricator thing but I got no response, so I’m going to put it here.

When I use the auto charger chamber upgrade for jump drive, no energy is used up, but when I deactivate it, energy does get used up. Has this happened to anyone else?

Have seen the report .. time is limited however

It's not happening with anyone else, so it may be something with my computer or some settings i accidentally changed

for me it does cost energy

its a bit wonky
i have seen the energy bar not showing any consumption, but the reactor menu (priority settings ) are showing a power drain value pulsating.
i do assume its a GUI issue. but have still to confirm that
