Armor "chambers" don't work. At all.

    So, the system has been out for quite a while now.

    Has anyone else noticed Armor enhancement "chambers" (insert obligatory ptoooey on use of this word) in the defense tree don't actually do anything?

    The description says they'll increase your blocks' resistance to certain types of damage. So when I was planning a ship that actually specializes in them ,I went and tested the difference between shooting the same kind of target, but one with these enhancements maxed out, and the other one not having any. One shot each with the same cannon. Grey is advanced armor, Orange is standard.

    No difference between enhanced and simple targets.

    It's the same both on the release version and the latest dev build.

    I had not noticed, nor gotten around to testing armor chambers, good catch!

    Top weapon: Missile + 100% Kinetic
    Bottom weapon: Cannon + 100% Kinetic

    Left: No armor enhancement
    Right: Enhanced with lev 2 kinetic resist

    Chambers are known tobe a little quirky, especially when you start messing with Rules and Effects :confused:

    The missile hit is completely okay in Dev build and working as intended.
