    Alesia Class Mk2 "Archangel"-Refit

I took my flagship and refitet it to fit with my new shipyard et voilà we got our first ship in the line.
    Changes made:
    • Exchanged cannon with missile turrets
    • improved shield and energysystems
    • changed signs, a few lights, bits, and pieces
    • added a few details (exterior and interior)
    • added a small landingpad on the rear

Love the start of your station, however I noticed there isn't a visible bar under the dock and was wondering how you docked the ship 'upright' when the dock module is presumably 'upside-down'?
In response to the first ship: Why do most starships look like d*cks these days? Narrow pipes with a bulky rear....
Second ship: Love that refit! It's midsection has inspired a work around for an issue I've been having on my own ship's refit :)

The docking module is free-floating in there under the ship ;)
I may add some kind of harbour-like docking ports and fill in the gap in the constructionframe.
Well... I guess the shape is just as it is. Its a basic shape for most starships. A sleek body with with bulky engines mounted on the back.
Glad I could give you some inspiration ;)

To the station itself. I'm not sure about the basic shape. I may start over and try something like this:

First image in your response is broken.

Nah, nah keep the station path you're going. While it could be smoothed out, you can still double-side it if you want or even just stretch the backside out into an arrow-ish shape.
Presuming that opening near the top is a hanger?
I do think it's a bit odd that the reactor is external.

    image should be fixed.

    Yeah thats a small hangar/landingpad.
I guess I just continue with the station as it is :)

The station didn't worked out at all. I started a new one (sector 2 6 8 on SATURN if anybody is interested in taking a look) and this time with a proper jump gate prepared for the big FTL patch ;)
    Early WIP:

Your station is coming along very nicely :)
I especially like the ribbed arms, works very well with the asymmetrical design (which you did extremely well imho; I suck at anything asymmetrical). I presume the dock module is hidden in the plates in front of the ring?

So the station is basicly done. I may add another room or just some minor details later but for now Angel Works Shipyard is completed (now with actual shipyard drydock thingy):

    Front side with venting system

Rear lading pads with some barrels and a yellowtanium crate

    Personal Office

    Angel AI Core Room

I already got a few ideas for new ships so stay tuned guys :D

Station looks great! Absolutely wonderful, BUT, is it versatile? Could anyone stop by and dock their ship or is it using a custom classification system?

edit: primary section looks a bit blocky.

It was intented to be blocky ;)

Well not really versatile. It only has docking ports for my ships. Beside this, due the fact that this is my faction base I don't think anyone would ever want to dock to it :D

Awesome work on the Alesia. Absolutely epic. However, there was one really glaring flaw I noticed in third person view...
There is one engine too many. The Alesia has three engines, not four, with the ventral engine being vertically mounted as opposed to diagonally as you have yours.
