Ok, so I think this is kinda messed up. Was looking for an allies homebase to visit (looking for their coordinates) when I went to close the menu I somehow joined a public faction with out a warning, or a "are you sure you want to leave your current faction" message. Now it may not be a huge deal for most players but I was the faction admin for my faction (now the "old" faction) and have no way to regain my admin status... I hope to get help soon but for now I am screwed... I believe the "join" button was somehow under or near the "X" or close button and was pressed at the same time.
