    Agreed, \"is it today or tomorrow\" is just relative. What\'s today for me may well be tomorrow or even yesterday for somebody else.

    Schema, why don\'t you simply announce the times in UTC and let everyone do the conversion themselves ;)

    IMO it\'s more convenient (except for those few who actually happen to be in that time zone) and even more straightforward since usually everyone knows what their time zone is relative to UTC, as opposed to needing to know whatever TZ is announced, and convert that [to UTC and then] to their own. Considering the fact that you aren\'t even in EST, it\'s that much more surprising why you would chose exactly that TZ to announce your events in.

    Same with date formats, if everyone just used the big endian international standard (hint: 2013-08-03 15:00 UTC), nobody would need to get confused about 8/3/13, 3. 8. 13 or whether 12 post meridiem is noon or midnight or whatever ;p

    Here\'s hoping the internet brings us forward in this respect; it\'s surprising shocking how many people have never realized before that there even is such a thing as time zones...
