On a more serious note there is one major problem, how would orbital bombardment work, I guess it could be removed making way for a new class of ship designed specifically for atmospheric combat or bombing
First off some things to clear away confusion:
It is a fuel source but only for jump drives so if you don’t have any fuel you can’t use a jump drive but you can still use the standard thrusters to find more fuel
My Idea: warp fuel (no thruster fuel)
1) only for jump drives (so people can still use a ship dry on fuel)
2) rare enough to be a pain in the lower back to remember not to forget it, not rare enough for quitting the game.
3) can be found with scanners
4) can be refined on a ship or station for...

I honestly think that E-war should be implemented in a way that affects battles but can't win them, I'm a way where ships can do significant enough damage while not epbeing able to stand for themselves

Your forgetting that because of the sloped armour the projectile has to go through much more armour although it is useless here because block thickness doesn't change but mainly its balance issues
But then if you change the strength diagonal faces become vulnerable and pvp ships get uglier and all for what slightly lighter wedges you are overcomplicating the game when doing weapon tests it will just make it harder to test them and when building pvp ships constantly checking the mass of...
I heard this used to be on robocraft and people would build creations (whatever you call them) so people used shapes as they were lighter and just as strong
