Ugh... This crap is why I'm thankful that my main ships use ice crystals still. Not only do I get wedges, but ice crystal is far less likely to spontaneously become annoying to obtain in larger quantities.

The full system is just a GUI implementation in the admin structure box that does exactly that, so... :p

Hmmm, the Armitage is impressive. The lack of wedges still burns, though.

Malacodor : Meh. Still can limit creativity. What if someone finds a good reason to put a computer screen or medical box thing on the outside of a ship where they can't put hull under it? Sure, it's unlikely, but it's still a possibility. I'd be fine if this was just for the sprite blocks...

I still believe we should have instanced planets... MASSIVE, possibly infinite, instanced planets. The exit point could be calculated using some kind of square to sphere map thing (Map is divided into massive squares, identical coordinates on each square will put you in the same point outside...

Not to derail the thread here, but how does IRC suck? It isn't particularly awesome, sure, but apart from the occasional disconnecr , I find it to be a lot better than the old chat thing, which was too small for its own good, and was a bit glitchy for me.

Ever heard of "3rd-party tools aren't an excuse"? ...Either way, yeah, there should be a proper menu and options screen rather than a weird, disorganized second launcher thing.

I was thinking of externals, but come to think of it, I would want my interior decorative to have a bit of armor too, for the same reason that I build my interior walls with hardened hull... (I'm sometimes a heavy grille and mesh user too, so...)
