Any space dedicated to jump drives is space not given to extra shielding, weapons, or power storage. On some ships a fast drive is not the most optimal thing; while of course the drive time has to make sense with a smaller jump drive system the game shouldn't punish you for having a slow jump...

Judging from what I've heard... As long as Schema remembers to put in the thruster update and captain's chairs, I think I'll be content with whatever else comes next. As far as Twitchcon... well, I unfortunately am in the same starship as Awesome. Have fun though, guys.

Yes, but on long trips in ships where you can't jump super fast (i.e. anything but a scout ship) it's really annoying. This is a quality-of-life improvement...

Yes, problem is, that doesn't seem to work when docked any more. And you're restricted to one very specific angle when docked, which is not always optimal - having a logic beam fire out the top or bottom of a ship is usually better.
