Simple, you don't; that would be silly. Render the ones nearby; anything further away either gets culled out entirely (if it's underground) or you kinda cut it down a little to large blocks that represent the average elevation of a larger area (say, a chunk) unless the chunk in question has been...
Sector borders are gonna be hell to fix. Essentially your thing only exists in a single sector, and any part overlapping isn't 'actually' in the other sector if that makes sense; instead it just appears to be in that sector by overlapping across the border. If I remember correctly, it creates a...
Either option would be the same amount of work, and using a new block would be less confusing than using factory enhancers.
In either case I find this approach to be a bit overcomplicated. Have shipyards assemble the stuff from raw materials, but make it inefficient block-wise, and have a...
Personally, I fail to see the issue with that. Having to craft up massive stores of blocks (or have a shipyard algorithmically do it for you) is silly anyway, IMO; I'd not mind ores becoming a (partial) replacement of what credits were designed to be back in the day, but this time not broken...
I don't mean complicated to use, I mean functionally complicated for the game to do.
For each block requirement entry in the full list for the ship:
Check all linked factories and storages for the required block, take as many as needed (or as many as possible if there are insufficient blocks)...
...Also unnecessarily complicated, potentially buggy (and hard to fix), and maybe even laggy with sufficiently large factory arrays. Inefficiency's fine, thank you very much.
The Ajir-class Heavy Destroyer is in progress. Featuring strong point defense and heavy weaponry, the 320-meter Ajir is designed to bridge the gap between the large Avar-Kiaan-class Cruiser and smaller Aethi vessels.
So, here's what I know about the current state of AI:
AI waves are currently supposed to be randomly selected. Eventually they will send waves based on the size of the attacking ship, but the ship rating system is incredibly broken, so understandably, it isn't being used until someone goes and...
1) Custom functionalities will be able to be set for blocks, via coding, when the API comes out. I don't think it will be possible to just give them functions like that using the block editor though.
2) God mode does still disappear when you log out, and /structure_set_vulnerable false only...
It's some kind of super-cheap system. I don't know exactly how it works. We need someone who actually knows how this stuff works to answer this. AndyP maybe?
Didn't the PlexRecycler just take stuff and turn it into ship cores? That's what it said in the description; I didn't use factories at all back when it was around.
There isn't really, because having each light block be cross-entity is laggy. Thus, your docked entity is hit by sunlight just like the outside of your ship.
