      I like the idea of faster travel times without making ships insanely fast in \"normal space\". I like the idea of the limitations you put on it, in that they appear to limit travel distance (you have to drop from subspace to normal space to recharge shields in order to avoid getting eaten)...

      If I recall, I encountered something along these lines in my single-player universe... For example, I built a mining ship, and wanted to dock turrets on it for defense - I had already docked several identical turrets on identical docking ports, so it was odd that the turret I tried to dock...

      It could just act as a mass turret AI interface, rather than directly controlling them... Then if it got blown up the worst you would have to do would be manually deactivate them/change settings.

      I\'m not sure how easy this would be to implement, since currently, turrets are basically AI ships docked on a turret block and set to turret mode - they\'re not actually connected in any way with the parent ship, apart from..... Power, shields, and the turret block? hmm...perhaps easier than...

      You can kinda do that with a beacon block, or whatever it\'s called....but it\'s not really very effective, and is kinda blinding when you\'re in build mode doing something nearby.

      Make clear and clear + glowing (in various colors) versions of the plexdoor. This can be placed and used in exactly the same way as a plexdoor, but is see-thorugh. Force field.

      Some method of picking up all the little floating bits (without having an exposed ship block or just getting into your spacesuit and doing so manually.... Would be nice. Perhaps a \"tractor beam\" device that can be aimed like a weapon/salvaage beam and will pick up items in a cone around...
