Allow the player to step up a single block without jumping

Hm, double the number of terrain blocks... not a bad idea, as an alternative to quintupling the number by adding wedges, corners, pentas, and tetras.

How to Make Planets Worth Owning?

OOH! I really like that idea. Perhaps some machinery could be involved in getting more ore and stuff to grow than normal at an astronomical energy cost. I've wanted those features for so long, as have a number of players. Sadly, much of the community balks at the idea because they are...

How to Make Planets Worth Owning?

This is interesting. I would like to see something like this added, as well as organic resources, or maybe a combination. Growing crystals has been suggested before, but I haven't seen it linked specifically to planets. If crystals could ONLY be grown on planets, or if particular crystals...

Change to faction block and how allience permissions work

Something like this has been needed for quite a while. Configurable faction permission blocks might be another possible solution or addition, allowing even greater configurability for specific doors, computers, etc. in special locations like a roleplay command center, ship's bridge, or...

Vehicles, Drop Ships, and Infantry Combat.

What I was trying to do with the different weapon categories I suggested is to give planet and surface weapons (not space stations, mind you!) a significant advantage against ships in space. I don't think space missiles should be able to reach the surface. Other space weapons should be heavily...

      Default Trade Station Poll

Is this something we can go and visit without having to load these in singleplayer? The images are neat, but I would like to see the insides of these before I vote, and I don't really have time to load them into my singleplayer universe at the moment.

      Fleet Command

If I'm trying to use it, 4-8 FPS wouldn't be very nice, but of course if it were properly optimized, several particle-style images floating around shouldn't be THAT bad, maybe a 5 FPS drop at worst.

What is Needed to Make Boarding Actions a Reality?

Cool story, bro. Yeah, this is the kind of thing I wish could happen in starmade. Hopefully at some point it will be possible.

      Fleet Command

I really like the idea of a hologram rather than a menu. The immersion is a thousand times better! I'm a little concerned about the frame rate on my machine though. On the other hand, it wouldn't cause issues while I'm not looking at the thing, so I'm not all that worried.

Vehicles, Drop Ships, and Infantry Combat.

That's the exact reason I suggested this complex balancing mechanic.

A possible solution to sub-block INV clutter

Who the heck voted no on this idea? I can't imagine why anyone would. This idea even begins to transcend the block nature of the game and behave more like you're welding a hull plate onto something; one type of plate that you'd cut into the appropriate shape before welding it in place.

Vehicles, Drop Ships, and Infantry Combat.

I don't think missiles should be able to enter the atmosphere at all. Realistically, they'd burn up unless they were shielded, and if they're mainly for space battles no one wants the extra mass of that heat shield slowing missiles down. Gameplay wise, their radius makes them too destructive...

      Round Planets!

Larger and less numerous planets are something I've wanted for a long time. They have their own issues, however, mainly frame rate and database size. Both of these are curable flaws, although the cures will take some time and would be highly unlikely to come around until after the universe...

"Maybe I'll add it as a gimmick one day"

This is really off-topic from this thread, but that would certainly be cool. I really wish Schema were still open to such an overhaul, but apparently he isn't. It would probably be feasible, but would end up requiring something like half of the game's development to go into planetary stuff...

      Round Planets!

Edges need some MAJOR work either way to try to shape them up a little. They no longer have huge cliffs (check a newly generated planet) but they still have cracks that you can fall into sometimes, and trying to build anything, even a road which should be feasible, across two plates is at best...

      Round Planets!

No, I don't think he did. LOL I hate when people do that. We need a rating for "Re-read the OP" or "Bad reading comprehension." NOOOOOOOOO! Not more edges! It'll divide up the surface area of the planets more than it already is. You can't build a building that occupies two...

There's no problem with this on a Mac trackpad. :D
