What on earth... Why do we need to explode...
Also. How is being vaporized any less violent. The atoms of my body are being reduced to ash. Why cant the vaporization also be a bit explosive?
Here is my main point. Something I will repeat because you seem to miss it every time I bring it up...
Not needing justification is the opposite of good game design. I don't see why being vaporized wouldn't be more fun anyway. Why do we need to result to blood and gore? There is no justification other than "its more fun". That is all I'm hearing. If people got their suggestions into the game on...
Sandbox does not mean it can go in any direction we want. Thats for the dev to decide. I'm being aggressive because the response to my post was "it can be turned on or off" and they completely dismissed my reasoning and didnt adress it at all in their response. Minecraft doesnt have gore. That's...
Something like gore should not be automatically on. It's not something about the game that would be particularly advertised. I am sure schema wants the game to appeal to all age groups. Do you not understand what I am saying? It doesn't suit the style. You're response is "it can be an option"...
I will. for the reasons I stated above. Its not suited for starmade. Having you disintegrate into glowing bits of dust? Sure. That fits the theme of starmade. It's a sci fi setting. Let the death of a character stick with the theme that is set. Blood and gore is unnecessary in our voxel...
1 - Not sure that's necessary at all. Definitely not a priority. It might be fun but I'm not sure just exploding to bits is suited for this game at all.
2 - While its a bit creepy. Corpses are cool and they could stick around for a few seconds at least after death
3 - Being vaporized sounds...
There should be an option to ask you if you want to only work inside the areas designated by the build helper. You can also toggle it when holding control off to the right when the helper is active.
Oh look. More color variants for the Velator. I have gotten a bit busier so we may end up seeing less stuff overall. At least till one of the games I am playing finishes up. It goes from left to right: Innerzone Shipping Edition, Interbus Edition, Aliastra Edition and Standard Edition.
In...
Schema stated that releasing all of the changes that he makes for each dev build (sometimes released multiple times a day) is not worth the dev teams time and that he would rather spend it on other things. Frankly there are plenty of hints dropped and players/youtubers that discover and share...
The entire game is in alpha. How can you NOT expect to do a universe reset between now and release. And occasionally you will see planets covered in cities. That is because they used to spawn on a disk and now they spawn at 12x the rate because of the new planet shape. That being said, how about...
Got some swag-ass news peeps. Basically I finished the Velator. This will be the first Rookie ship that is released. It looks great and the stats are as close I could get them. I also managed to finish the Aliastra Edition of the ship which is great. Two more ships off the list for now!
It could probably easily implemented. I have heard that we might see the occasional massive asteroid in the future. Not all of the cool features of the universe are here yet.
If you are taking suggestions then I would say add even more depth to the inventory screens. While I can see the raised edges around the boxes, it looks more like lines instead of the raised boundaries of the box. Since there is an implied depth there with the shadow and the highlight, you might...
