Just title the thread "suggestions". I really don't mind reading a lot in one place. It gets absurd trying to respond to a dozen individual threads. There is no rule against it.
It is something we want just as much as the community. We already have ideas for how they would be used (possibly in ways you might not think!) but as it is not a complete thought we will not be talking about it until we are sure of their incorporation.
I would rather people just generalize their threads to include all suggestions they can think of. We really don't need 40 threads about captains chairs, as people have already suggested before.
Planned, planned, planned, planned, planned, maybe, maybe, planned.
AFAIK capital ships will not have a separate core, they will be normal ships with advanced capital ship modules.
I am unsure if we will change how permissions work in the future, as there are other systems that would benefit if they were simply connected. I think a better solution for now would be tieing permissions to the shipyard computer and granting access to all aspects from there. I will mention this...
Of course it is in mind. However you are right. It is not the current vision for the game. A game that very much needs completing.
Space Engineers uses a scenario system but they require constant logout in order to engage each one. It would be simpler if those scenarios were just a naturally...
There will not likely be any sort of gamemode based on an individual scenario. Sandbox will become more and more of a survival experience with RP elements included so that players can create their own adventure. It is much more entertaining when an event like the one you described occurs...
It won't be boring forever. There will be a reason to venture into the space between galaxies. But it will not be safe.
Additionally, there is no reason we can create that would be reasonable for your exploration of another galaxy. It has to be on the players mind. We shouldn't and probably...
Wait, did the one that you provide that is modified, does it cut off it's height or it's length? I noticed you posted a 2048 modified one and was going to try it however I also read that schematic files cannot support certain values. I assumed this meant height past 256.
I modified the files so...
Shame that schematics cannot physically go beyond the 256 height limit despite altering the kv6toshcematic files. It also appears that some ships get cut off while others wrap when hitting the height limit. Would you happen to know if something triggers this difference?
Sure, however we need more thought put into that. What happens if it is near a homebase, or planets or asteroids? The world is populated with objects and players and soon NPC's. Is it okay to disrupt that activity? If it isn't, then what are other solutions?
The incentive is to discover things that may not be in your own galaxy. We hardly have any reason to visit another galaxy as it stands let alone another star system. There will be more reasons to explore as we go down the line. It's not as if we will be removing features from the rest of space...
In short this isn't a feature that we want easily accessible by the player. Void space will be a very dangerous place. There will perhaps be strange anomalies in these areas and your friends / factions wont be around to protect you from any baddies in the area. As more RP elements are added over...
