If you feel like it you can build in this order: titan, mini-drone, frigate. This may or may not be what I did. If you want to produce a couple of ship I recommend making your ships exponentially bigger.

Yea, good idea! I already have a design in mind. Kinda like the atmospheric engines in ksp. I vaguely aimed for that with the big engines but realised that it would hide them too much. It's also going to be easier to do on smaller engines.
