You really don\'t need to give yourself cash. If you\'re lucky at spawn, you\'ll have an abandoned station nearby. Glass is a huge commodity, and those stations easily have a couple thousand glass blocks. You can be a multi-millionaire. If you use that money properly, you can build a ship...
