      Were any of the ships you lost docked? I've read that a few people have has their ships disappear after having docking/undocking issues. Ships being magically transported some distance away (2km) or so. Perhaps you could have a look around at that distance?

      Are you familiar with the game 'Star Fleet Battles'? It's partially based on the TOS era of Star Trek. They have a battleship called Mars, which is essentially a Federation with one more engine. :D

      But the door is part of the ship, and not the fighters. The door (if you mean the blast door/plex door objects) is part of the torpedo, if you are planing to use it to protect the torpedo, right?

      I am curious about the blast door idea. Technically the door block is still there when open, it lets people through.. but would it still be in the way, possibly preventing the warhead from hitting the target? Unless you're talking a rail door?

      The salvager is not in the same realm as bad weapons. Bad weapons are still weapons. The salvager is a salvager, it does not need to be a weapon like it used to be. Edit: Also, what do you propose as a buff to give to armor since a salvager weapon would now be ignoring it?
