Also, making an invulnerable home base with a few turrets helps lessen the time they hang around...because they die (and then you can salvage and do all that fun stuff
I've been seeing the same. I had a turret base that had been damaged and when I tried to reboot it it counted down and when it hits zero it take to -0.1 and promptly froze/crashed. I rebooted StarMade and tried again with the same results. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the bug reporter to...
Seeing as we have another week...
There's a group of us who already put together individual entries...could we put a group team entry together as well?
You can always admin spawn stations in to create zones for pirates.
Resource distribution, as stated above, is variable already, but hard coded.
You could always spawn in stashes of goods though. Buried space treasure, as it were.
Clear your cache under tools in the main menu, then try to log on again (or restart client first).
Does the planet still exist? It's possible you lagged out of it as it orbited
Perhaps a "Damage Control Computer" that allows you to set a plane like we can in build mode. Damage is calculated based on the percent of HP remaining perpendicular to the plane.
Planets are easier when you first start (read: don't have resources), but you do have annoyances like dealing with gravity for launching/landing ships and the lag that comes with the planet itself.
That said, I loved my base carved out of the hillside and the landing pads on the plateus...
I've been facing the same issue in single player. Designs that used to work just fine are suddenly rendered stupid.
Unfortunately, no solution here, but I'll keep working at it.
