      What about the oreo approach with the edges beveled to 1 block thick at the edges? If you go over the edges you just flip 180 this way the planet is roundish and coninious

      Large permacloaked ships aren\'t balanced, if you want permacloaked big ships dont make energygenerators better, reduce the cloakers power cost

      How about the missions spawn something nearby for you to kill? Like 20+ pirates if you want to do a mission in a group

      Hyper Drive

      The best solution i can think of is scaling everything up to real life scale and make warp or hyperdrive the main for of transport. Planets ect would be stadard warp targets and anything under a certain radius would have to be found with scanners or something.

      A change to the way that thrusters work.

      Tryphos, i\'m not sure but i think you\'re not right. speed is relative, so the gasses coming out of a spaceship always move backwards relative to the spaceship, so they keep applying a force, so the ship keeps accelerating. As for the warp drive, eve online figured that out pretty wel i think...

      ForceField

      I wouldnt necessarely use block as the forcefield, i\'d use forcefield generators that have to be in a closed shape and linked to eachother (or 1 controler) and they\'d generate a forcefield in the enclosed area

      I agree with most, especialy the dmg spread on hulls and the nerfing of shield, however, i wouldnt remove shield recharge when taking damage, maybe you can add modules that recharge the shield when taking damage, so you can have differant types of tanks, armor repair modules that repair your own...

      Turret integration

      in my opinions there should be 2 types of turret pivots, the ball thing that is described above and the pairs of blocks that rotate around 1 axis those 2 blocks shouldnt have any space between them. you should be able to make a retractable turret by using something like pistons from minecraft...
