Started a small new build, a new destroyer: I always wanted to do a vertical ship (big fan of the Oracle from EvE Online) and this will be my take on it

If you want to win the shield category then you should take a look at this beauty here: http://starmadedock.net/content/of_ragnarov.781/ (this is also the largest ship i have seen so far)

50k mass only equals 0.05%? So the finished ship will have 100 million mass (about 1 billion blocks)? That would be quite impressive :D

PS: This is also supposed to be a hangar for diplomatic missions, very welcoming to set the mood for peace-talks etc. ;)

Your ship is somewhat of an institution here, like that neat little church in barcelona its major feature is not being finished but still awesome :D (just teasing) btw: nice core room! :D
