      I'd say that ship looks pretty bad-A! Would like to see it from the side. Wedging (including pentas and tetras) takes a bit to get used to, but once you get the hang of it it'll speed by!

      I've noticed that smooth rotation really depends on the PC your using, or, if on multiplayer, how many people are on the server/server specs. Things I've made in single player that run like well-oiled machines can choke out on a server, just because the number of players online.

      Do I need faction blocks for turrets?

      The only advantage is if the turret docking part gets shot off, the turret wont lose it's faction setting if it has a module on it. Otherwise, no biggie.

      I have a feeling it's related to the same issue that textures like foliage and plants have behind glass or grills. Something with transparency and lighting through other transparent objects gets all wonky. I was pretty sad when my first biodome looked awful from the outside.
