The current way of flying, constantly holing your accelerator, is stupid. A throttle would make one time set of speed for long journeys creating a better way of travel for long distances. While on this not manuvering blocks would also be nice.

Bridges are diferent from the CIC, A bridge is on the outside of the ship, made for veiwing ships in line of site. The CIC or command and control room is usual ahead of the middle of the ship and only used on ships of a tonnage above frigate/destroyer, main purpose is to have all system leaders...
