you just need to swap out the files from your backup zip. or you could grab the .1852 update 20141203_233000 from one of the mirrors and just pull the needed files from there. or you know what, i'll just zip em up and upload them here. but to be certain - use your own files. it would be more...
If you copy the .so files in /starmade/native/linux from your old starmade back up into the same directory in the new version it "Should - Might" (TM) fix it. Specifically the libopenal.so file. I got that tip from Tarusol .
keptick I had at one point intended Deathmark City to have faction buildings. Entire structures dedicated to one faction. I imagine a station could do the same. Maybe we can go a step further and have a central hub with piers. Each faction docks one ship (that best represents them) and people...
This thread is SUPER old. I'm gonna lock it but please feel free to make a new thread and link to this one whenever needed.
Anna recently made a Lily skin that has very impressive shading. You can find it in the community content section.
At every stage StarMade is a sandbox. From the client side to the server side. Even the blocks themselves can be edited. Not just how they appear but how they behave.
The game is still in an alpha state. If you run the game in a pure vanilla environment then you are helping test the functions...
I know there a lot of ME fans around. Maybe you should check the community content for ME inspired craft. You'd have fleet assets ready made and just needing some tweaking. Good luck to you.
In the lower left hand corner of the site click on the Chat (##) bar and a list should open. There's a gear in the upper right corner. Click that and click Chat Sounds to uncheck. This may help. To close the list click on the title bar and it should minimize.
The vanilla config for starmade was left untouched. This means spawn protection is disabled. People tend to leave ships there if it is on. It all turns into a laggy mess then someone spawns a big ship. It becomes unmanageable. The pirate spawn rate people complained about being too low. So I...
A core is really just Block 1. It is the basis upon which all other parts of a structure are compared, bound and calculated. For the moment that also means they are the point of greatest vulnerability and the lone factor in deciding where your signature appears on sensors. Both are meant to...
Like I said. This issue has been pointed out to the one best to handle it. Give him some time tho. Just as I disappear randomly to do my actual job some of the staff need to do our 9 to 5 duties before we can take on any StarMade stuff.
When I did it went through flawlessly. I'm going to bring this to the attention of 'he who knows best' and we'll give the magic man a chance to show off his registry wizardry for "reg-izardry". It'll prolly be a bit of a wait until we get the right eyes on this issue tho. So please be patient.
Both? You should only need one install and it should be x64 Java. I'd remove the 32bit edition and try again. If not remove both and force x64 to install.
http://starmadedock.net/content/starmade-config-editor.1800/ <- It's dangerous to go alone, take this. It might help you make some options...
I think that's a cop out. If it were C++ someone would blame a limit to a library.
der_scheme thank you for a worthy argument. It's moot at this point. The game is not going to be re-written any time soon. And we'd lose portability. No OSX or Linux versions.
Ok so:
Intel i5 3700 series (Desktop)
nVidia Geforce 660ti
16gb ram (I'm assuming DDR3)
So aircooled /watercooled?
Motherboard make and model?
OS and edition?
Java and edition?
And internet bandwidth/known issues?
Maxing out the settings unless you know what you are doing is a sure fire way to break your client. What's your hardware config? Someone might have a similar setup with working settings and most settings at max.
Well back to the topic, which became GTA V for some reason..
The reason Rockstar didn't have everyone code the game in Java is because, simply, why should they?
Let's approach this from the other direction. Why isn't schema writing StarMade in any member of the C family?
Well why should he...
More feedback would probably go a long way to fixing that. And the method you use could end up included in SM itself as a clean up routine. Just like some of my code made it into one of the scripts we use on NASS.
