Actually, if a custom block pack were to be made with the custom block texture and custom block config that is separate from the base config, then it wouldn't break with every update.

Welcome! This mod brings back the absolute darkness of lightless rooms. Quite simple, really. Installation: Drop the two files in the ZIP file into: \StarMade\data\shader\cube Overwrite when asked.

ahh interesting. By any chance are you running with shadows turned on? If so - try disabling them - if you can't access the main menu, edit settings.cfg
