I get that - but the feature you're requesting isn't necessary if you have your factory resources in a storage BEFORE the factory. That way the only blocks/items that are ever in the factory, are the blocks you want to manufacture... one that can sit neatly underneath the factory.

Factories pull resources they need from storages. As in, you can put the materials to produce in a storage, then the factory pulls those materials in and you'll only see the material (unless you don't have enough to produce, in which case it'll get the raw material) This is a simple solution...

AFAIK, they're more demanding for the client, NOT the server. If the crashes are being caused by your home sector, I'd suspect rails, turrets, logic or AI before a block.

Did a quick search for server hardware. 2 x 6 core Xeon, 72gb ram, with HDDs IBM x3550 M3 72Gb ( PC3L 10600) 2 x 6-Core Xeon x5650 2.67Ghz RU Server | eBay AU $549.99 Unsure of instruction sets - however seems like a solid point to get to for lots of players and more efficient segment loading.
